About
Stone construction has a rich history and has been used since the dawn of civilization. Dry stone masonry in particular is believed to be one of the oldest human trades. Some stone walls in north-west Europe were built back in the Neolithic Age and have been carbon dated to 4000 BC. The Great Cathedrals of Europe, The Pyramids of Giza, Machu Picchu among other impressive monuments are examples of how stone construction can withstand the test of time.
Carefully crafted Stonework also has a distinct charm & timeless aesthetic.
BC Stone specializes in the design, construction and restoration of stone walls, buildings and artwork. We use natural building techniques like Dry-stone construction and utilize traditional lime mortars when appropriate.
